Biography
Instagram @lyvesmusic Lyves is the alias of artist, songwriter, and producer Francesca Bergami. With over 60 million streams online, it’s the songwriter’s emotive lyrical themes and alternative route into performing that set her apart from the rest. Born in Aylesbury to an Australian mother and Italian father, before spending most of her younger years on the move, Francesca is fluent in Portuguese and Italian. Her interest in music can be credited to her parent’s vast record collection that she started sifting through from the age of four. In 2017 she released her debut EP “Like Water” which was revered by tastemakers worldwide including Rolling Stone, NME, Complex, Clash and Notion magazine. After performing her breakthrough song “Darkest Hour” on the COLORS show, Lyves supported Coldplay on 15 dates of their “A Head Full of Dreams” tour across Europe. Having taken the past two years away from the limelight to hone her craft as a producer and songwriter even further, Lyves is excited to bring listeners into this new era of her music - which feels even more raw and revealing than previous works, underpinned by a fusion of influences - from jazz, motown and soul to experimental electronica, folk and R&B. Citing influences as diverse as 2Pac, Tracy Chapman, Sade, Frank Ocean, Philip Glass and James Blake, Lyves has crafted her own unique sound and lane.
