Dan Webb exists in a state of constant evolution. Since emerging with his debut EP in 2009, he has gleefully erased the lines between genres, combining psychedelic atmospheres, electronic experimentation and classic songwriting into a kaleidoscopic sound all his own. His greatest gift is his ability to explore the avant-garde while retaining his pop sensibility, resulting in music that is as enjoyable as it is thought-provoking. After becoming an underground favourite with two well received EPs, Dan began to garner mass acclaim with his 2014 full-length debut ‘Sandstorm’. Praised by X-Press Magazine as “a thrilling, funky journey,” it received international airplay, most notably from BBC Radio 6 Music, Triple J and Double J. He began to fully realise his potential on the stunning follow up ‘Oedipus the King’. Inspired by the political chaos of 2016, it provided the perfect soundtrack to a tumultuous era while drawing favourable comparisons to Berlin-era Bowie and Miles Davis. The most recent additions to Dan’s discography are amongst the most compelling of his career. He has embraced a maximalist approach, filling every song with massive hooks, otherworldly soundscapes, and fleeting moments of unexpected beauty. With a steady stream of new releases expected this year and beyond, Dan is poised to emerge as a vital voice in modern music.
