Biography
A journey, stylized into the perfect concept to question reality and to bring the supposed truth of things into the light - A meandering river, the moon, peaks and valleys form the scenery of the first two albums by the progressive/post metal band "Hills Like White Lions". Between melancholy and euphoria, every emotion is welcome, like tides that come and go. This is exactly how tension and relaxation become the impetus of their music. Truth, love and selfishness are the dominant themes of the brand new concept album "Meander". The maelstrom awaits. Bio Florian Wagner (vox, guitar), Alexander Augustin (bass) and Hannes Lettner (drums) released their self-titled debut in May 2020. The euphoric-melancholic concept album tells a story about human mistakes and love. Norbert Leitner (also Krimh, Black Inhale, among others) produced the ambitious project. Reviewers were enthusiastic. The live-experienced musicians also have previously supported bands including Jinjer, Normandie, Raised Fist and Evergreen Terrace. Despite the pandemic, they have presented their self-titled debut several times, also with Modern-Djent shooting-stars "Their Dogs Were Astronauts". The release of a live studio session followed in May 2021. In 2023, it's time to present the new full-length album. "Meander" is the name of the second installment, which continues the journey through dreams and reality. Staking everything on one card, a courageous mixture of one-track and concept album is offered.
