Biography
“She is a sensation!" — Ron MacLean, Hockey Night in Canada One of three finalists in SiriusXM/CCMA’s 2019 nation-wide contest, Kelsi Mayne, is no stranger to choosing the less-conventional path. The former nursing school graduate and nationally-ranked varsity sprint-hurdler is now arguably the fastest-rising independent country artist in Canada and with clips from her "As I Go" music video garnering over 4M views on TikTok, Kelsi is the most popular Canadian country artist on the platform! As fiery as her natural red locks, Kelsi’s burning passion and determination has led her to perform Canada's most celebrated stages including Big Valley Jamboree, Boots and Hearts, Havelock Jamboree, national television, and the anthems for the Blue Jays. Meanwhile, Kelsi’s promise and hard work has garnered the support from prestigious organizations including FACTOR Canada, SOCAN Foundation, and Ontario Arts Council, as she continues to serve as a beacon for the classic “underdog.” Although 2020 plans have been impacted by COVID-19, Kelsi is using this time to give back to the communities who have helped her along the way. As her fan-given nickname infers, it is safe to say the #MayneTrain and current CMAOntario “Rising Star” nominee is moving full-steam ahead.
