Biography
Over the course of the last three years, Venice Queens has amassed a loyal following playing a number of sold out shows around the country, headlined by 2 sold out home town shows at Lion Arts Factory. Since the bands release of their debut, self-titled EP, Venice Queens has amounted close to a million streams whilst being nominated for Best Group and Peoples Choice Best Rock at the 2020 South Australian Music Awards. Venice Queens has shared the stage with a number of high-profile Australian acts including Kingswood, The Creases and Aria Award winning band Lime Cordiale. A bit more back to basics in their approach, the five-piece take inspiration from bands like Cage the Elephant, Jet and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and aim to ‘restore rock and roll culture, without all the bullshit.’ With an increasing catalogue of new music in the works with Simon Kither and ARIA Award winning producer, Adrian Breakspear (Gang Of Youths, Pharrell Williams, Delta Goodrem, Boy & Bear) fans should expect a whole lot more in 2021 as the bands swagger-fuelled, anthemic rock ‘n’ roll is here to stay.
