Biography
Seeking inspiration in worlds between Royal Blood and 5 Seconds of Summer, Castells were inspired to branch into riff driven depths, following the success of their previous works. Their anthemic mix of pop, alternative rock and indie attracted support far and wide from Gemma Bradley’s BBC Introducing show on Radio 1, continued support from Abbie McCarthy on BBC Radio Kent and popular online blogs such as Digital Tour Bus and Clout - reaching countries from all corners of the world. With 2023 well and truly underway, Castells are delighted to announce their latest single, ‘Can’t Speak For Us’. Written by Rob Castelino and Connor Crooks and produced alongside Future Humans Sam Cramer; and Producer, Sophie Ackroyd, ‘Can’t Speak For Us’ is characterised by its dark edgy undertones. The single finds the four-piece calling out to the misunderstood youth to join them in protest to have their voices heard. The result of this captivating piece creates a rousing sound that wouldn’t be out of place soaring around arenas worldwide. Comprised of Connor Crooks (vocals, guitar), Robert Castelino (guitar), Matt Chittenden (bass) and Marc Smith (drums), Castells are determined to continue their ascent in 2023 with the aim of releasing a series of singles as well as getting back on the road, eager to share their electric live sound with audiences nationwide.
