Biography

Taraaz is a rock band formed in 2006 in Karachi, Pakistan by Taseer, Omair and Shakeel Ahmed. The band first gained exposure with the release of their single Janay Kyun, followed by the release of their critically acclaimed song Tere Werga. After a 11 year hiatus, the band re-released their debut self-titled EP, previously released in 2010. The band consists of Taseer on guitars, Omair on vocals, who were soon joined by Qaisar Abbas on bass, Ahsan Raza on lead guitars and Zeeshan Khan on drums. Taraaz's music is highly inspired from the band members own personal experiences and speaks about the daily struggle of ordinary people in today's time. Taraaz's music is officially distributed and is licensed to Rearts Pvt. Ltd. imprint label rearts records.
