Biography
Starting as a collective of musicians with an open-door policy, KICKED-IN BICKIE TIN have spent several years refining their sound while carving out their own music scene within their rural hometown of Moree. Without a live music venue in sight, KICKED-IN BICKIE TIN have adopted a DIY approach complete with their own PA system and lights — playing anywhere and everywhere they can, from backyards to pubs and sporting clubs throughout their hometown and beyond. KICKED-IN BICKIE TIN's debut single ‘Floor’ driven by a huge anthemic sing-along chorus captured the attention of radio stations across Australia and overseas, including triple j, Unearthed, and a spin on Canadian community radio. Gaining praise from the Blakout host Nookie who declared himself a fan of the boys from the bush, and from Unearth’s Abby Buttler who proclaimed “You just know there’s a big, big, big audience out there ready to eat up this warm, easy to love punk.” Touching on the feeling of being concerned for friends stuck in a loop of repeating poor lifestyle choices, KICKED-IN BICKIE TIN's sophomore single “High Again” is an energetic weekend anthem packed full of all the best ingredients of an Australian alt-rock banger: an earworm of a chorus, catchy verses with reminiscent lyrics, crunch guitars served with a pinch of melancholy. Produced and mixed by Talk Heavy’s Matt Cochran and mastered by Grammy-nominated Will Yip, “High Again” is scheduled for release on the 9th of June.
