Biography
Based in London, made in Leeds, Ten Hands High's sound has evolved drastically since their inception in 2019 and has now arrived at Vibe Central Station. The band release music in Phases, a new one starting each year with an evolved sonic and lyrical theme. After Phase 1's demos in 2019, Ten Hands High got their first big break in Phase 2 when their track Silent (With You) was made BBC Introducing: The South’s Track of the Day and Red Wine was added to Spotify UK's Students' Union 2021's 'Phase 3' was the release of the band's debut EP - Sweet EP. The first single - Sweet was described as 'euphoric' by Radio 1's Jack Saunders and the 2nd single - nevermind was added to Amazon Music's Fresh Indie playlist and 6Music's BBC Introducing Mixtape. Phase 4's meet me by the apple tree was played on Radio X's X-Posure and sunkissed earned the band their first BBC Radio 1 play on Future Alternative. In Phase 5 this year, the band will be releasing 5 singles. The first, Kitchen Table achieved radio play on Radio 1's Future Alternative and BBC 6 Music's Introducing Mixtape and the 2nd Stuck In The Groove was released 25th May. Live, the band have sold out iconic London venues like Water Rats and Omeara and in Nov '22 played their biggest show yet at PowerHaus London, capping off their first ever UK tour. This summer they won the chance to play at 110 Above Festival out out 1200 applicants and are currently planning a UK Tour for November.
