Biography
Latin Grammy Nominee Sara Correia starts 2023 with a stunning new single with Israel Fernández, the Flamenco prodigy equally nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2021. “Bocas do Mundo”, showcases the raw force and talent of their voices. Sara Correia won Grande Noite do Fado at 13 years old. Soon after, she was invited to perform at one of Lisbon's most important Fado venues, where sang with and learned from some of the greatest voices like Celeste Rodrigues, Jorge Fernando and Maria de Nazaré. "Sara Correia", her debut album was released by Universal Music Portugal and produced by Diogo Clemente. In her homeland, critics lauded her as "the greatest voice of the new generation," and she was unanimously acclaimed. Her debut album earned her two nominations for the Play - Portuguese Music Awards and Best New Artist at the Radio Festival awards. Her sophomore album “Do Coração” was released in September 2020. Produced by Diogo Clemente it features the singles "Chegou Tão Tarde", "Dizer Não", Porquê do Fado” and also "Solidão" a duet with Antonio Zambujo. The record won the 2021 Play Award for Best Fado Album. Sara Correia will release a new album in 2023, the follow-up to her Latin Grammy-nominated "Do Coração," which was a candidate for Best Portuguese Roots Album in 2021.
