Biography
Actitud Modulada is a band formed by well-known representatives of the peruvian rock scene: Daniel López Gutierrez (ex Kharmina Buranna, Chino Chavez, Veronik, Hombre De Lata, ex Flor de Loto,) in Minimoog, theremin and digital synthesizers; the famous multi-instrumentalist Tavo Castillo (Frágil, Hombre De Lata) on steel guitar, electroacoustic guitar, theremin and flute; Jorge Durand (Frágil, Hombre De Lata, La Specie) on drums; Diego Sue (Curiosity, La Specie, ex Kharmina Buranna) on bass; the graduate of Berklee College of Music José S. Palacios Cussianovich (Stretch It To The Limit) on guitar; the renowned percussionist Dante "Choclito" Oliveros (ex La Sarita, Tributo Al Perú) in peruvian drum-box and percussion; and the writer, poet and singer Alejandro Susti in vocals, electric guitar and lyrics. The music of Actitud Modulada is nourished by varied musical genres like progressive rock, creole and afroperuvian music, jazz rock, hard rock, andean folklore, among others, achieving a fusion that allows, for example, to mix a peruvian electroacoustic drum-box with 2 theremins, merge a landó with a blues or use a Moog bass synthesizer in a tondero, taking the public by different sound landscapes. Their first self-titled album to be released in 2018 was recorded live, mixed by Oscar Santisteban Cole (double nominated for the Latin Grammy 2017), and was mastered at Abbey Road Studios by Christian Wright (recognized by his work with bands such as Radiohead, Arcade Fire, etc).
