Biography
Sody, 22, is a storyteller with an incredible knack for penning songs that grip the hearts & minds of anyone that listens. Every melody & lyric feels like she has poured a little more of her soul out & that hasn’t gone unnoticed, with almost half a billion streams to her name. Sody’s approach to raw songwriting has proven to be the winning blueprint throughout her career. Just two years after her debut, she released demo ‘Whole’ that sat on the ‘Most Beautiful Songs in the World’ playlist for three years. She then released two EPs, ‘I’m Sorry, I’m Not Sorry’ followed by 'real growth takes time’ . These releases & the tracks that followed produced a slew of popular singles that captured the hearts of a growing global audience. From ‘butterfly’ & ‘is your bedroom ceiling bored?’ to ‘Bitch (I Said It)’, the tracks were as versatile as they were strong and she begun winning over tastemaker media such as BBC Radio 1, DIY Mag, Clash & Dork Magazine. "Going into last year, I really started thinking about what I actually want from my career & how I want to portray myself to the world” As part of this, she realised she needed to leave her record label & become an independent artist once again. She is now gearing up to release her next body of work including latest single Star Potential which speaks to experiences in her career. “It’s just so me, I worked with the people I wanted to work with & really created the Sody world I always wanted. There is no stopping from now on!”
