Black Radio is a five-piece Rock and Roll band from Lodz, Poland. The band's history begins in 2008 when two classmates Dawid Wajszczyk(vocals, guitar) and Kamil Biadała(bass), both having nothing but their 6th grade degree and a compelling desire to play rock and roll music, decided to start a band. Three months later, Black Radio was to perform their very first gig at the WOŚP - one of the world's biggest charity events. Ever since that performance, the band have carried on writing songs and performing live, having each other's back in learning the musical/mystical arts and crafts. In June 2014 Black Radio released their debut album called "Gasoline Planet", and, although it was a self-released DIY album, it was well-reviewed by the most prominent Polish magazines and presented on numerous radio charts all over the country. Having released their debut album, Black Radio gave over 200 live concerts on the territory of Poland and Czech Republic, from small clubs to main stages of such festivals as Woodstock(PL), Jarocin(PL) or Slot Art Festival(PL). The band's latest release is a 3-song EP entitled "Holy Mountain"(June 2019) announcing Black Radio's second album, which is to be a brand new chapter in band's history, referring to lead singer, Dawid Wajszczyk: 'this new album will be much different than anything we did before. We gave up on indie rock a bit, but, Good Lord, haven't [we] given up on ourselves, diggin' deep in the roots of rock and roll music whatsoever."
