Biography
ZILF are a zany British metal band from the deep south of England who write and produce all their own material. After releasing their debut album on the 5th of June they have been gaining more live members, deigning to take their eclectic sound on the road from a safe two-metre minimum distance. “We consider ourselves to be a DIY alternative-metal band that enjoys genre-hopping and glueing disparate musical elements together in fearsome and eclectic ways. “Whilst trying very hard to avoid putting ourselves in a genre box, we’ve still ended up in a box--but our box is different. Our box is a special box without rules or expectations. Our box has a pinball machine and a thick furry purple and green rug woven from the finest spun hemp. Our box is majestic, multilateral and spacious with plenty of room for anyone to walk in, grab a beer and join a polyrhythmic moshpit.” ZILF are influenced by nu-metal bands (KoRn, Limp Bizkit, System of a Down), extreme tech-metal (The Dillinger Escape Plan, SikTh) along with some other favourites (Every Time I Die, Converge).
