Biography

Indie, electronic, a dash of poetic post-punk and everything in between. That's the best way to describe the ever-changing and, at times, chaotic sonic landscape of Kristijonas Ribaitis. He's an independent artist who isn't afraid to explore different music genres while combining them with lyrics delving into self-doubt, the irony of loneliness while partying and uncertainty about oneself. While his career started with a sung poetry album Vakar Buvo Rytoj, it didn't take long for Kristijonas to dive into his first electronic experiments. While studying composition at The Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre, he released a few singles and an EP Preliudas, which gradually showcased the artist's indie-electronic side. His bigger success came with his second album Laimingi - an electronic musical about a character's journey into a city nightlife, complete with stupid decisions and a perpetual need to live every night like it's your last. A distinctively more electronic record, with lyrics full of irony, cynicism and a bit of satire - all of which later became a sort of signature for the artist. His latest and third full lenght album SATURNAS tells a story about the last party before the end of the world. With its dance oriented dark electronica, a more somber tone and lyrical themes, SATURNAS is quickly becoming a favorite for the listeners of Kristijonas Ribaitis.
